Keynote Address at the Lennart Meri Conference, Chaired by the Estonian President
The Thinking the Unthinkable (TtU) project continues to challenge senior leaders by addressing the destabilizing effects of disruption and the unspoken anxieties it generates. Its unique insights provoke reflection and spark fresh approaches to leadership in uncertain times.
A prime example was Nik Gowing’s keynote address at the Lennart Meri Conference in Tallinn, Estonia, in June 2018, chaired by the Estonian President. His presentation highlighted the pressing need for leaders to rethink strategies to cope with escalating global challenges.
The speech had a significant impact, as evidenced during the subsequent panel discussion. Espen Barth Eide, former Defence and Foreign Minister of Norway; Lamberto Zannier, former Secretary General of the OSCE; and Senator Nathalie Goulet of the French Parliament each emphasized the value of TtU’s insights in preparing leaders for future uncertainties.
