Enel’s Grid Futurability®, A Net-Zero World | Milan 2021

About Grid Futurability®

As a global player, serving both rural and urban areas across the world, Enel premiered the introduction of Grid Futurability®, the Group’s customer-oriented industrial roadmap to deliver power grids that enable and accelerate the energy transition by distributing electricity in a sustainable, affordable way.

Nik helped design and deliver Italian energy company Enel’s Grid Futurability ® for a Net-Zero World event in Milan. A hybrid session with a large virtual audience globally, it focused on the transformation of traditional distribution networks into Smart Grids.

The event highlighted why all energy grids must rapidly become more resilient and sustainable. As demand for electricity grows rapidly in the near future, service reliability and quality must be improved.

Here’s what they said about Nik:

“Working with Nik was stimulating, as he asked pertinent questions during the preparation phase that allowed us to improve the format of the event and the quality of the content.

His warmth, together with his ability to firmly offer an external observer’s point of view, makes working with him very enriching.

The result of the collaboration was a very engaging event with an approachable tone that made it easier for all the contributors to convey the content. It obtained a high level of satisfaction from the attending and remote participants.

Nik said:

“It was particularly rewarding to guide this important event pre COP26. It opened minds to understanding the huge looming demands for electricity, then to ensuring enough is done speedily to ensure they can be satisfied.”

The event was a collaboration with Climate Action, an organisation that establishes and builds partnerships between business, government and public bodies to accelerate international sustainable development and advance the ‘green economy’.
