On 21 August 2025, Nik Gowing moderated the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce’s “Unleashed 2025” event. This years’ event took on the theme “The Potential”. Held at the Stockholm archipelago, the summit brought together decision-makers, innovators, and changemakers from across the Nordics and Baltics.
Nik Gowing co-moderated Unleashed 2025 with journalist Femi Oke. The sessions encouraged participants to move beyond orthodoxies and consider how the region’s unique strengths can be turned into resilience and innovation. Nik Gowing helped attendees unleash new mind muscle and positively tackle new challenges facing Swedish and Nordic businesses.

For one full day, leaders from business, politics, culture, defence, and civil society gathered for open dialogue on geopolitics, resilience, democracy, competitiveness, and identity.
The discussions reflected the deep uncertainties facing Europe. From shifting security guarantees and geopolitical fragmentation to the spread of disinformation and the impact of new technologies, speakers highlighted both the risks and the opportunities ahead.
