InTent Davos
At the InTent at Davos series during the 2026 World Economic Forum, Nik Gowing was invited to shape and steer an exclusive workshop.
It focused on one of the most consequential intersections of climate, technology and food systems: how regenerative agriculture can transition from isolated pilots to widespread agronomic and economic practice.
The session, brought together innovators, agritech ventures, data platform leaders, social enterprises and financiers to explore how real-world digital tools are already transforming soils, ecosystems and rural livelihoods.

“Encouraging, inspiring discussions – and a reminder that the next leap is less about inventing solutions, and more about orchestrating ecosystem” ️
— Christine Brunel-Ligneau | Senior Advisor, Cleantech Nexu
What we achieved
Nik Gowing opened the discussion by reframing the debate away from aspiration and towards delivery: what is genuinely working in the field, where are the structural blockers, and what must change to unlock scale?
The session explored how satellite data, AI-driven analytics, soil and biodiversity monitoring, and digital measurement systems are already helping farmers improve productivity while restoring ecosystems.

The Outcome?
Under Nik’s facilitation, the conversation went beyond technology showcase. Participants confronted harder questions around incentives, trust, data governance and collaboration across farmers, tech providers, investors and policymakers. The emphasis throughout was systemic: regenerative agriculture will only scale if financial, technological and policy frameworks evolve together.
Thinking the Unthinkable’s role was to create a candid, delivery-focused dialogue at the intersection of food systems, climate resilience and digital innovation, shifting the conversation from optimism to practical next steps.
